Groupe ADIT acquires a majority share of Défense Conseil International (DCI), the operator of the French Ministry for the Armed Forces for the transfer of know-how to France’s Partner countries.
Groupe ADIT also strengthens its Public Affairs and Strategic Communication division with the acquisition of Antidox.
Groupe ADIT enters the cybersecurity field with the acquisition of Mind Technologies and is strengthening its business unit dedicated to public affairs by integrating Rivington.
Groupe ADIT has also strengthened its presence in North America with the creation of ADIT North America in Canada.
The shareholder structure of Groupe ADIT changes with the entry of Sagard, alongside the historical shareholders and Bpifrance. The State retains its preferential share.
Groupe ADIT acquires the majority of the shares of Stratinfo, a structure that is specialized in the fields of strategy and influence communication.
Groupe ADIT integrates two new entities: ESL & Network (now called ESL-Rivington), a historic player in the business intelligence market, and Europavia, a Spanish company that specializes in technical and commercial support for players in the aeronautics/defense sector.
The Parquest Capital fund succeeds Weinberg Capital Partners as the majority shareholder of Groupe ADIT. Bpifrance remains a reference shareholder alongside Amundi Private Equity Fund (PEF). The State retains its preferential share.
Groupe ADIT reinforces its position as European leader in strategic intelligence, risk management and business diplomacy by acquiring the GEOS group, a reference for major French groups in the support and development of their activities in sensitive areas.
Following the 2011 privatization and the 2015 entry of Bpifrance investment, the State transferred its remaining shares to Bpifrance, with Bpifrance becoming the reference public shareholder of ADIT with 34% of the group’s capital.
In 2018, the State decided to maintain a strategic stake in ADIT, by benefiting from a preferential share giving it an unlimited right of approval over the identity of the next shareholders of ADIT.
ADIT creates with MEDEF International the French Business Center of Tehran (CFAT).
The investment fund Weinberg Capital Partners buys the shares held by Butler Capital Partners and therefore holds 66% of ADIT’s capital. In addition, Bpifrance acquires a 24% stake in ADIT alongside the State, which retains 10% of the capital.
ADIT created the European Strategic Intelligence Alliance, which brings together 10 European business intelligence firms. The same year, ADIT created a subsidiary, Entreprise & Diplomatie, dedicated to business diplomacy and headed by Ambassador Bruno Delaye.

ADIT created the French Business Center in Baghdad to facilitate and secure the return of French companies to Iraq. The same year, the Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment decided to proceed with the sale of a majority stake, up to 66% of the capital, of the State’s participation.
ADIT is a pioneer in France in creating a dedicated team in e-reputation and e-influence within activities of strategic intelligence.
ADIT creates an autonomous pole more specifically responsible for economic and strategic intelligence for large French companies. Following the decree of December 19, 2001 authorizing the privatization of ADIT, it was transformed in 2003 into a public limited company, entering on that date into the portfolio of the APE (agency of state participation).
ADIT provides the executive secretariat of the Committee for Competitiveness and Economic Security (set up by the French Prime Minister) and has participated since 1998, in the implementation of the Government Action Plan for the Information Society.
Since its creation in 1993, ADIT has contributed to the implementation of a national policy of economic and strategic intelligence; ADIT develops an activity of collection, synthesis and distribution of information gathered by the network of scientific attachés of French embassies abroad and participates in parallel with the development of economic intelligence centers in the French industrial landscape.
